Bungalows are typically designed for an elderly couple. They are therefore relatively small, however, they often benefit from large plots. This makes them attractive to buyers, as there is the opportunity to extend the property and create a spacious family home.
This was the case for a Princes Risborough bungalow. Our client had bought the property and had plans to add both a side and rear extension. Collectively, the building work would almost double the size of the original bungalow. The end result would be a home that better suited their needs, whilst still leaving them with a private rear garden and driveway at the front.
Linear Building Contractors undertook the construction of the bungalow extension. Our building work provided the family with a large kitchen diner, two additional bedrooms and a new bathroom. We installed roof lights and patio doors to allow natural light to flood into the kitchen area. This brightened the interior and created a greater sense of space.
We completed all work on the bungalow extension, up to the decorating stage. We also undertook exterior landscaping to complete our part in the project. The family then hired decorators to provide the finishing touches to their contemporary interior.
Princes Risborough is a desirable place to live. It is situated at the foot of The Chiltern Hills, whilst also benefiting from a direct commute into London. The side and rear extensions offer the family a home that they desire, whilst also adding to the value of the property should they ever wish to sell.
